Comfort & Joy - Kristin Hannah

November 28, 2007 - Posted by Angel: I needed a book to help get me into the Christmas spirit. This seemed like the perfect one based on the title alone. All in all, this book did it's job, and I feel full of Christmas spirit now. I'll leave the details up to Heather, if she wants them, because I don't want to say too much about the story. It's different, not what I had expected. There are a few really good twists and a bit of a guessing game. It's definitely a page turner, and you might get lost along the way, but like the main character, Joy, you find your way home and things turn out well in the end.

I must admit that I figured out something was up pretty fast and then was distracted by it the whole time. Either she was a ghost, or something was all imagination. Kind of Sixth Sense-ish. Yeah for good endings. Overall, a good story. 3 out of 5.

I feel kind of ignorant because I didn't even realize there was something wrong. I took no cues from the guy not touching her or talking to her. I just figured he was a cold-hearted bastard.

I suppose it worked out for me in the end because it made the unexpected twist that much more surprising.
