Across The Universe

If you like the Beatles and Moulin Rouge, you will love this movie. It's trippy like Moulin Rouge and crazy to watch. I'm not really into the Beatles, so some of it dragged on for me. Ewan McGregor was singing part of the songs though! I'm a huge fan of his singing so that was great.

For enhanced experience, eat some shrooms or take a hit of acid before rolling the film... Thats the only way it could get any tripp E er. It was good... They kinda stretched to get some of the songs to work in the story... Its good though....

I think they stretched a bit as well, and that almost made some of the movie seem forced, but I still enjoyed the music. I really liked the draft scene with all the freaky square-faced army dudes. That was cool.

The movie was kind of like one big colorful, musical stretch of stuff, and I don't think it was quite as powerful as the previews made it out to be. I get the love story part, but I thought the war stuff was kind of lost behind the music stuff. Maybe it was supposed to be that way, but I didn't feel really, really excited by it. Oh and hey, Jude...I didn't think the guy who played you was all that cute or special.
