Marley and Me - John Grogan

Dog lovers - you have GOT to read this book. It perfectly describes our crazy pets. It was fun to read a book from someone who obviously wasn't a certified dog trainer. Do they even have certified dog trainers? The Grogans are just the average dog owners. Yeah!

The only bad part is the sad ending. You know it's coming, but just like with your own pups you want to pretend it won't. But still...it's great!

I completely agree. This book is a must read for anyone who has ever owned a pet.

Great blogspot! I'll come visit often.

This book was fantastic! John Grogan is superb writer. He never wasted a word and did a wonderful job of illustrating Marley's crazy antics. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and I think everyone who has ever loved a pet should read it, too.

The ending is mostly sad, but the very end leaves you with a lighter and happier feeling...life goes on.

Thanks for letting me borrow this, Heather. I will be buying my own copy to keep and read again. :)

By the way, (now that I can admit it) when I finished Marley and Me, I wanted to call you but couldn’t. Heather! I cried so much over that dang dog. I probably cried for half an hour reading the last few chapters of that book, and it took me that long to get through them because I was crying so much and couldn’t see. It was awful, but I felt so touched! It was sooo good! I had puffy eyes the next morning at work for a few hours. I’m such a sap. I'm pathetic. I just wanted to share that extra tidbit of mushiness.
