Waitress

Not at all what I expected. Not really worth a rental. The girls' accents were pretty annoying and the story was strange. It's funny b/c the commercials looked funny. It's one of those where all the funny stuff was in the previews b/c the rest was just weird. PLUS you get that stupid song she sings about pies stuck in your head. Baby don't you cry. I'm gonna make you a pie. Blah, blah, blah heart in the middle.

It was great seeing Andy Griffith though.

I thought this movie was hilarious. The girls at the restaurant cracked me up, and I was pleasantly surprised by Keri Russell's acting in this one. She wasn't annoying like she usually is to me. And I love Nathan Fillion as the handsome, nervous doctor. I just think he's so cute and funny. I really liked him in Serenity. The ending made me mad because the doctor kind of turned out to be a jerk, too, but the main character gained her independence and a business and a cute little baby girl. So I guess it all worked out.

I agree with you, Heather, that the heart in the middle song was stupid and annoying. I could have done without that.

Ooooh I agree. I love Andy Griffith in this. He's cute. I do like that she left her husband so fast and got her little pie shop, but it was so quick and close to the end that you almost didn't get to enjoy it enough.

I felt kind of bad for her husband when he cried about her hiding the money in the house, but I'm glad she dumped him in the end right after she had the baby. I think the ending was wrapped up kind of quickly, too, but it was cute with her and her daughter walking home together.
