This is a book Patti Pancake read. This is a header for her to comment. Haven't read this myself yet. Check the comments for info on this one.

Have you ever lost yourself so much in a book or a movie that you started walking around like you're actually in one of them?

I just finished this book, and it was EXCELLENT. I kept hearing about it and it's won some awards and stuff, and I can see why. The story is about a 16 year old kid named Miles who lives in Florida and is kind of a nerd. He memorizes people's last words. He decides to go to Alabama to a private school to find what he refers to as "the great perhaps." The book details the friends he meets and the adventures they have that first year. A lot of philosophies about life and love and such. There is more to the book than that but I really can't say without giving it away, and I know you don't want the surprise ruined, so just go and read it, okay? Oh yeah, it's a "young adult" book so if you can't find it try looking wherever those books are.
Sounds interesting...I'll have to check that out.
I wouldn't think Alaska would be hard to find.. Just head northwest until you see the signs " Welcome to Alaska John Green".
